Nanny Bill’s launched their first bricks and mortar residency at The Shop NW10 in Kensal Rise in early 2017 to rave reviews with bookings for weeks in advance and Londoners going bonkers for our new menu items. Soon after we completed our residency at Last Days of Shoreditch, pulling in crowds all summer. You can find us serving our burgers and balls in Dalston’s trendiest basement bar, Birthdays Dalston.

Last Christmas Nanny Bill’s and Zebedee Productions hosted ‘Cockney’tivity’ – a Christmas dining experience. We designed a bespoke Christmas menu serving 1,000 roast dinners in 3 weeks.

Nanny Bill’s opened the hatch to its 1970’s Citroen HY truck for the first time in Spring 2015, feeding the food savvy patrons at East London food market Night Tales. Our signature croquettes caused quite a stir, the Mac’n’Cheese and Pea, Mint & Feta proved to be the most popular.

Our burgers and buns bring inspired flavours to our menu, with hand-pressed cheeseburgers topped with bacon jam and buttermilk fried chicken as firm favourites. All our special sauces and relishes are made in house.

Nanny Bill’s have spread their North London roots across the city. We fitted out our beach hut at Brixton Beach Boulevard and enjoyed an extended stay at our residency for Little Feast in Shepherd’s Bush. We created and built our own eat-in diner at Night Tales in Hackney Wick, which had queues out the door all summer.

Welcome to Nanny Bill’s

Darren Simpson has always been inspired by his grandmother – Nanny Bill. A legend from North London, she loved cooking for her family and ran the family café in Alexandra Palace during the 70s and 80s.

Darren wanted to follow in her footsteps and serve Real Food from his beloved food truck.

Hand preparing his dishes, Darren and his team love to create new flavours and ideas and enjoy sharing them at events throughout the UK.
